This morning there is no time for breakfast, I run to make sure I don’t forget anything before I set off on my day. A marathon of appointments awaits me and my empty athletic stomach growls with abandon. A few moments later it’s my head that goes into overdrive, not happy that I missed the warm-up phase. Fortunately, I didn’t completely forget them. Before leaving, I took 10 minutes to simmer a hot drink, comfort guaranteed throughout the morning. This time it is a golden milk that hides in my gourd, ready to release its benefits with each sip. Thus well accompanied, I devour my day in great stride.
Ingredients: 15g turmeric, ¼ tsp ground pepper, ½ tsp ginger (optional), ½ tsp cinnamon (optional), 7cl water
Recipe: Mix the ingredients and cook over a low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring until the mixture thickens. Leave to cool in a small glass jar and keep in the fridge.
Ingredients: 1 tsp. turmeric paste, 15 cl plant milk, 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup
Recipe: Mix and heat over medium heat for 2 minutes. Do not allow to boil.
